Styaing in an Apartment?

Just to remind everyone, if you are staying in an Apartment that you have purchased or if you are staying in a private apartment, you need to register with the local police upon arrival.

If you are staying in hotels, or through a tour operator, don't worry, this will all be arranged for you, and you will receive a small piece of paper when checking out of your hotel confirming the registration.

Just how easy / difficult is it to register at the local police station ? I can imagine that there could be problems due to the language barrier or are they that used to doing the registration that it flows quite nicely ?

The police are familiar with the procedure, but nothing in Bulgaria is simple!
