if any one fancies it we are arranging a trip to Landgraaf,(holland) the worlds largest snowdome, bit diff to the fridges here in the uk, two slopes of 350+m,with a 'Park in the middle, from sat to mon 4-6 august and staying at the hotel on site. All day ski passes for the three days, we have some car spaces or you can drive your self £350 all in (inc meals)
Does look good, just seen a few vids on youtube, slightly steeper "red slope" more useful for training I would guess. Working nights so not able to come, good to know its there if I was in the area.
Not bad a place for driving towards the Austrian Alps and doing some skiing a day before.
I like Landgraaf depending which way I approach the Alps.
I usually visit regularly another one( Amnesville called 'snowhall'' which is at the border Luxemburg into France and ideal for pre-skiing in the Western Alps .
That One is the longest ski slope in the world with 620m and nearly 100m denivelation located on a mountain slope and next to park complex and shopping center.Snow is good and the ...

That One is the longest ski slope in the world with 620m and nearly 100m denivelation located on a mountain slope and next to park complex and shopping center.Snow is good and the drags are fast not like the ones here which is just a waste turtling up with a snail speed.
I think in UK on the slopes the slow speed of the drags is on purpose so less skiers can use the slopes.Bad.
For the french place- Snowhall , Good thing is that when you buy say 20hrs skiing it only counts when you go through the gate and if you break it for some reason It clocks you out.
The pass is valid indefinite.
next time you go- use it again and only for the minutes you are actually on snow and without booking special hour etc..
Skiing in the summer can be done and it is done closer to home.
Les Alps and the numerous glacier patches there offer what you need to keep ski fit for the 4 months before the start of the new season.Easy.
Unless you want to go somewhere exotic and combine it with something else and then tell everybody you know you gone there.
Don't forget you have to travel all day and night to step on the same stuff.
It is like skiing in Scotland.

Why would you want to risk it , pay more battle with mega winds, rain and god know what else when you can head south and do it proper.
As for the summer skiing on this topic I was saying that when you start your journey to the Alps it is more than convenient to have a warm up stop on real snow.I did not say that this is the way to ski all of your holiday.
Simply if you want ski fix : get on a car drive 5 hrs and enter a good experience fo a day or maximum 2 or wind down on the way back.
I will leave it to all of the forumers on here of a expert levels to head to the Southern Hemisphere shoot a top Ski DVD, keep on top racing fitness(I am sure you are all at that level) and come at the end of summer back just to quickly recharge and head for the season in the northErn mountains.
Sometimes I think that this forum has become 100 professional Skiers/snowboarders one with hard core non stop ski dudes without a match and a team of envy .
