Hi all

Still in Pamps and I'm afraid not great news. Were skiing yesterday and whilst great up top on the South blue run (button lift run) and t-bar blue and red by Bohemi's, the run down from there to mid station is very slushy and patchy. The green run from there down to Markony's is again, slushy, patchy and quite tricky to negotiate although you can ski it. Its really just a means to get down the mountain if you prefer not to take the single chair down from there. Locals are forecasting snow this week but its really not cold enough to snow at the moment and the snow that is here is melting fast because of the sun. We have another two weeks to go and hopefully it'll snow at some point. It only takes one day of decent snow to greatly improve conditions; for instance it snowed last Sunday all day and enabled decent skiing on all runs for three days without ice or grass/mud patches. Doesn't take much to improve things so keep fingers and everything else crossed!

Tip for good food just down from Bohemi's is The China Tea House (beside Piter's - The Irish Bar next to Bohemi's) - if you go there without an instructor they give you a thirty percent discount and usually they give you a present of apple pancakes with cream which are gorgeous. Very nice hosts and they do look after you. Whereas Bohemi's and Piter's are usually bunged to the hilt and very smoky, don't be put off by the China Tea House being quiet - food and prices are great and good craic with the staff in there.

Will keep you updated as the week goes on and believe me at the first sign of snow - you guys'll know about it!

As usuall though, all in all, having a great time despite lack of snow.
