Switch Money

Hi Im going to borovets at the beging of jan. Is it beter to switch money when Im there and take 100 in bul. money or take travels checks and money.

Dont take travellers checks as they are not widely accepeted. Best change it over there unlesss you can find a rate here of 1.70 lev or more. Be careful where you change it in resort their are" change boothes " that will rip you off

Take a debit card and use it in the cash machines rather than taking lots of cash with you. There is a machine by the bottom of the gondola and another just up the road from the gondola - opposite the Breza if I remember correctly.

daniel meant 2.7 of course !!! travellers cheques are fine if youre happy with 2.6 comm free (samakov) my worry with relying on cash machines is that they can and do break down, so take a sensible mixture, never found the need for lev before ive got to the hotel anyway.
