To all those who helped with my question the other day- THANK YOU VERY MUCH. 
And apologies to anyone who took offense to my posting. 
(Needless to say i was having "one of those days!!")
However, my little rant had the desired effect, and i received 12 replies, all helping in their own way (except Dans, who i seemed to had cheesed off, sorry matey!)
No hard feelings to you and the rest of ya i hope.
It goes without saying that ive had nothing but frindly ...

No bother,,, I couldnt answer your question, so didnt reply I ride a board so couldnt tell ya the first thing about skiing, I'll take one or five of those beers with ya,cool out guy heart attack time,,,,,cant remember where and when are ya going, me jan 8, borovets and should be meetin a few people that sound like they enjoy a riot and a laugh, you welcome to join in dude, if you are there,
