Can't help but noticing the big difference between a summer and winter holiday.
Not just in Bulgaria, but the world over.
Us Brits are not always the quickest to make friends abroad, and sometimes quite justifiably we are branded as louts. That is so much more of a summer thing than winter.
In summer, we arrive, lie on the beach, maybe say hello to the odd person or so for the first few days, and by the end of the week we may or may not have got to know one or two people. But not ...

Us Brits are not always the quickest to make friends abroad, and sometimes quite justifiably we are branded as louts. That is so much more of a summer thing than winter.
In summer, we arrive, lie on the beach, maybe say hello to the odd person or so for the first few days, and by the end of the week we may or may not have got to know one or two people. But not that closley.
In winter that all changes. Strangers thrown together for a common cause. If you are in ski school you meet people who you will spend the whole holiday with and as a group the friendships grow and often last forever.
You get to party together, laugh with each other, help one another when we have doubts, share the thrills and the spills that we all seek, and the first time you ever ski is a week you will NEVER forget for as long as you live.
Remember, you can only be a beginner once. So enjoy it to the full, it is a scream a minute and by the end of the week, you will never ever be a beginner again.
You will return home with 3 words springing from your lips I CAN SKI !!!!!!!
The love of OUR sport spans race, creed, colour, religion, age, sex, ability, wealth and poverty alike. Just take a look at any young Bulgarian 6 year old skiing down the mountains. You will see in their eyes exactly what I mean.
Be sure that you are about to embark on one of lifes great privilages, it's like being able to walk, to run, to fly.........to ski.
