In fact, looking at the councils website, there isn't a bank holiday at the end of May!Ah, here we are, found it
"There is a a special bank holiday in 2012 to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The 2012 late May bank holiday has been moved to Monday 4 June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5 June 2012."
And I'm away that weekend already too

Bank Holidays this year are Monday 7th May (best day of the year - my birthday!)Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th June (delayed may bank holiday for Queenie lasting so long!) and then the usual August and Easter ones
5th May would be a no from me and N+J as were having a PARTY!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone thought of the Hemel Hempsted Ski Centre? It's apparently the biggest indoor ski arena in Europe and it's pretty easy to get to. I'm sure if there's enough of us they may even do a private hire session

Hemel?? biggest indoor arena in europe????? not even slightly close to it!!!! Landgraff in Holland is the biggest amount of sqm of slope and Bottrop in Germany the longest slope (approx 650m!!! compare that to hemel 160m?)We had a meet at MK so Tamworth or Chill Factor(e) would be fair. Cant do may 5th racing or first sat in june same reason but happy to try and fit it in, theyve redone the bar at tamworth!!

Sorry S.W and all, my diary from 2011 had the advance hols for 2012 in it and I was using that, as you rightly say they have been changed coz her maj is avin a bit of a doo!!. I dont really have Bank Hols, we work to our shifts and are granted the bank hols as lieu days wether working or not. Cant complain, this year we will get 37 days hol, whoopee.!!
Hope I am off when the dates are decided, would be nice to meet up with some of the posters.

MK, Tamworth and Manchester all have more at them as Hemel is just the Ski slope and a shop and a Costa.
