Beware!!! We did negotiate a price with our taxi driver b4 hand there was 5 of us we negotiated 15 levs to Smolyan..when we got there he wanted 50 levs ...we did the hand signals before hand 1 and 5 and he understood perfectly...we met a friend there who lives in Bulgaria for 4 monthe of the year and he met us ..from the taxi and told us not to pay it ..as it was rediculous fee....later the police arrived so we had no choice ...the bulgarians in smolyan agreed we should be paying between 15 ...

sorry to hear about this. probably same driver I got in Pamps! At least there were of you. They are getting worse.I had another one agree a price beforehand and then halfway through the journey switch the meter on and it was suddenly at 14 Levs and going up
despite us agreeing the 11 Lev upfront. We discussed the meter going on in the car amongst ourselves and he suddenly switched it back off again...
