Hi Boris,

Happy Xmas to guys as well!! I was the driver yesterday (felt too ill from Christmas Eve!!) so it was different from usual, however we had a great afternoon and then came down to Samakov (where we live) and had drinks / food at one of our friends restaurants.

We don't own a bar - Bobby works up in Borovets and I have my own business working from home - which is nothing to do with skiing/Boro etc.

I only started posting updates on the forum last year as I was fed up of reading how great everything was when there was no snow etc - as it was unfair for people who were spending lots of money to come out here.

This year we decided to rent a bar for the season as we struggled financially over the summer (very difficult for Bobby to get any work) and also becuase prices at the top were so high, however the bar that we have rented is on top of the mountain, so it's shut and has not yet opened for the season...so, whilst we thought it was a good idea at the time, we live and learn - next year we may rent one down in Borovets itself, but who knows!! Alternatively, we will give people mountain bikes rather than ski's and send you all down late in the evening....!!

When people from the forum come over we tend to meet up with them (well we did last year!) in one of the bars in Boro - it was great and some of them even came to our wedding out here in June!

I know there's quite a few people coming over around the 8th to 11th of jan, so hopefully we can all meet up!
