During my stay in Canada, I found out that the French Naval Ensign (the Equivalent of the British red flag with the union flag in the top left corner) is infact.....



PLAIN WHITE!!!

It doesn't really say much for your country when the flag your Navy uses is used as the flag of surrender does it?

Saves them changing it when the going gets tough I guess.
