I never reported the maid for spoon theft although I did point out to her via a series of gestures the next day that she had removed our one and only spoon. I was pointing at the kettle and making stirring motions with my hand...she tutted and walked out nodding her as I think she thought I was trying to get her to make me a cuppa.

I have always found tea made with anything but a teaspoon is lacking in some respect.

If you perforn a pouring action with the jar making sure the lid is screwed off and that you are aiming correctly, gravity will pull the graniels into the cup. When the cup looks to have within it sufficient graniels so that when mixed with water (using toothbrush handle) the coffee will be to your taste, bring the jar back to the vertical and screw the lid on.
