The dreaded chairlifts lol

Can anyone let me know how good or bad the chairlifts are had an intersting experience in France where three of us binned it very nicely when trying to get off, we thought it was funny but the guy operating it didn't lol. Anyway that's my one expreince of chairs so any advice, hint tips would be much appreciated. If you see two mad looking girls on the chairs then steer well clear. Oh and another question, what are the red runs really like i could possibly ski a fench blue to a point.

What is it with chair lifts, I seemed to make a pantomine of getting off mosts times?
It gets embarrassing after a while!!! When distracted chatting is best, then you get off without thinking.

hiya, they used to be a problem for me, but i lernt in austria that you actually have to ski off the lift, which sorted out my fear, dont worry too much about it and just scoot off at the right moment, otherwise enjoy the lift back down the mountain hehe

Fi thank you for your kind words, worst case scenario then, a) will take a bottle and just whizz up and down all day and then b) when am totally pissed fall off hopefully at the top and then ski down Yeah right

Piece of cake getting off chair lifts on ski's. Put two feet down, bend knee's, one arm carrying poles, one arm used to balance / push away from the chair when standing up. Hey presto, you are off!

You wanna try doing this on a snowboard....much, much more difficult! Especially when you have a ciggerette and a can of beer in your hand!!
