Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi guys...
Have read with some interest recent postings and accept that to all some peoples glasses will be half empty while others will be half full. I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent (some may argue) with a fair basis of skiing experience in most europeon countries including a number of regarded premier resorts. Regarding Bulgaria here are the facts as i see them. Prices have risen, in some cases extortionally, this has been aimed at the Bulgarians ripping us off, this could be true but also it could be business, their attempt at realising max profit. Don`t pay the prices, support those who offer a better deal, at the end of the day we are the customer. Bulgarians can be ignorant (especially the men), accept it as a fact, it is definately not true of all and again communicate with those who are friendly and open, others will learn eventually that all of us are not drunken louts. I should mention the French here but i won`t The snow record, considering its location and average height the Balkan range does as well as any similar alpine range in Austria or Italy yaer in year out. There are blips but they go both ways, last Thursday i skied red4 in Bansko first thing on piste that i would consider the best i have skied in nearly thirty years of skiing, this was followed by a morning of exceptional off-piste in knee to waist powder. Ok, there was not the range but my legs told me i had been skiing by lunchtime. This was luck, a freak of nature, i had similar in Soll at the end of the eighties, not the most regarded off-piste resort. I am a fan of skiing, the people involved with sking and areas in which i can ski. I chose to ski in Bulgaria because of my financial limitations, my decision to live here was also for the same reasons. Now here i can accept a lot of the critisism of BG, there is a lot to do, attitudes need to change, better attention to details and an overall improvement in virtually every other area.
From our side maybe we could change our perception, see BG as value for money, not cheap, treat bulgarians as individuals, not as a whole, and accept that poor snow conditions can happen anywhere.

God knows what he's up to! I don't know whether it is the computer/camera/ or BB that doesn't know what they're doing!

I think the burn out was filmed on his phone. It depends which burn out of course, he may have fitted another in, since I was last told.

I think he is having issues with the editing.... it may be better to put it all on a DVD, and send that out, to see who can edit. Not my department really. I just do the P&P.
