Just done a week in Borovets staying at the Samokov.
Best bars....Buzz bar after 11pm and the Black lion after 10 pm.
Best food....Katy's and The Chilli Peppers, both on the main drag.
Snow...Not to good at the mo. Very good last week but in mega need of more. The lower slopes are all showing grass and stones in places. The upper slopes are fine.
Cash, I went on a weeks lads hols out every night till five, eating out for all meals and bought two north face jackets plus loads ...

Get the cash before you go and take 150 sterling cash just in case. Mega north face bargains to be had, demand at least 30% off all clothing.
The snow report is false, if it doesnt drop at least 300mm in the next few days then I think all the lower slopes will close causing the better colder high slopes to be very busy, That said, I'm told the snow is better later in feb.
The resort is great, the females are also very great. The local guys are a bit like greek blokes, ie a bit OTT on the matcho front.
