Haven't been to Pamps for a couple of years, but tempted again this year (March 2007), possibly Snezhanka or Zora - I like being at the front of the queue for the bus in the am
Is Pamps a lot busier now, there seem to be many new hotels springing up? Lifts busier? We are planning to miss the National Day/Weekend (probably go week 10th - 17th), had very bad experience in Bansko last year, absolute hordes and French style lift queues.
I'm off to pamps week of 24 feb - 3 March and I think 3 march is National Bulgaria Day? Is it only the weekend that is likely to be busy ( ie sat 3 and sun 4 march ) or would it be the whole of the preceeding week?
Stayed in Snezhanka 2 years ago, agree that the beds were rock hard. Also single beds that had to be pushed together. Food OK. Lot of children when i was there running around a small lobby.
Stayed in zora last year, way way better. Hotel better all round. Rooms better ,proper double bedsand food excellent but what was best , in my opinion, were the sofas in the lobby with the wee bar right beside it. Staff very friendly and bar open 24 hours a day.

Going to Borovets this year, but if i had to choose between the two, Zora hands down
You might want to have a look at the apartments available for the Pamporovo Palace they are next to the lift where the ski school is - No bus required! The down side is that I have only seen the apts on an Irish tour operators web site called Concord Travel. Worth a look though
Think once again about Snejanka.
It is a building site at the moment and I am not sure that it will be opened this winter.
The good thing is the hard beds are all gone
Close, but not close enough. I knew I passed a building site close by to the Zora.
You're so right about the sofas in the Zora lobby and bar area.
Couldn't get the Number of rooms (Zora) we wanted at Xmas, hence why staying in the Snezhanka.
