Thomson Holiday at the Rila

We are going to Borovets in february (25th) and staying at the Rila. We have booked ski packages for the adults through thomson but we could not book for the kids (ages 5-Cool. They said we can do this when we get there.

Has anyone had any problems booking with thomson and/or booking kids ski lessons (over and under 7 years) at the Rila??

Hi Paul, We are going to the Rila as well with Thomsons. We have 2 kids, 8 & 7. Because the youngest is under 8, they have to book the kindergarden route (1hr ski in the morning and 1 hr in the afternoon). However, I have spoken to Thomson, plus travel agents, who have confirmed that we can book normal ski-school at the resort, so my 2 can ski together. I have received info. from various people through this site that kids can go into normal ski-school (2 hrs in morning & 2 hrs in ...

They don't like to do it, because they feel the kids won't be able to keep up with the rest of the group and get tierd. See the rep on the coach!

re: Thomson Holiday at the Rila

Also you should remember that kids under 7 don't need lift passes.

You will be very lucky if they will allow 5 year olds into a ski school class though espaecially if they hav not skied before. Your best bet is either the Samokov or Rila Kindergartens which are open to all guests in resort.

Hope this helps
