Thomson late deals

I have just spent a week in Borovets sking with my eight year daughter, this was her first time sking and we both had a fantastic time. The one major problem that I had was with Thompson Holidays and I want to warn others of the situation they put me and several other people in. On booking my late deal I was informed that we had to book our sking lesson at the resort as it was to late to book in England, I was assured that the prices would be the same as in the brochure. When we arrived in Borovets the ski rep informed us differently, we were charged different prices for the sking pack and also had to pay another £100 each for lift passes. I know of at least another 15 people that this has happened to and we are all writing to Thompsons to complain. Boverets is a great place, the people and the sking fantastic, however I would never choose a Thompson Holiday again.

I do not believe the tour operator ripped you off. It states quite clearly in their brochure that ski packages bought locally are more expensive.

Just out of interest, when BG joins the Eu (poss 07) will they be able to diferentiate between 'foreigners and locals' as far as lift passes go. Two years ago we had a late sat flight and so got in an extra days skiing, and we gambled on locals passes, theyre a fraction of the cost!!!!!!!!!
