hi all, im off to boro on saturday and have bin skiing once before about 10yrs ago and could plough easy enough but want to know how u Parallel ski...any tips would be welcomed greatly
these turns do not appear over night, one way is to reduce the width of the plough and once comitted to the turn try and bring the inner ski in line with the other as soon as posssible, the outer ski which has the most weight. with carver skis ept turns as used by racers ( edge pressure turns) are easy as from one set of edges it is just a matter or release of pressure by a small upward movement in which the skis will flatten then its all about your hips crossing over your body and putting ...

remember when u were five n u played at being an aeroplane? the easy way to ski parrellel (and will help u advance to caqrving much quicker) is to run with ur skis in parrallel then simply drop ur outside knee slightly (point it more at the ground between your feet) and then make the aeroplane motion in reverse (ie what would turn a plane left will turn you right), this is because your puttin the weight over the outside ski! the other easy way is to imagine that ur ribcage is an accordian, ...
