We had a snowboard lesson thr our holiday rep and we had hotel samokov snowboard instructor (Bobby - the ex ski jumper) absolute top bloke, very talented and very helpful! we persuaded him to teach us privately on our last day!!
He also said that if people take mobile phones and chargers with no sim card to Borovets the locals - eg shop keepers and bar owners will bite ur hands off for them and give u free food or swap a snowboard for one so its worth taking one if u have a spare!
Have a great time!!!

I'm going to Bansko on Saturday and cannot pre-book the lessons and equipment before I leave. I'm concerned that it is supposed to cost double (approx 300 pounds) if I cannot.
Do you have any advice on where I can get an All inclusive beginner package preferably for Snowboarding. (looking for passes/board/boots/3x2hr instruction over 6 days.
(Supposed to only be 145 pounds with the tour operator but they won't allow me to book it.)
Also will I need to buy a ski suit?
Hope you can ...

The food isn't bad at all just different from the UK - nor is the food served piping hot. Unfortunately mass produced hotel food is never the best where ever you are. If you eat in the smaller places there is something for all tastes.
