Tips from the experienced?

Hello

I was wondering apart from the obvious clothing needed, what other stuff do the experienced among us advise us lowly begginers to pack into our suitcases.

I mean things like Glove Warmers and Chapstick etc etc.
What kind of things are useful little additions, the things that make you that little bit more comfortable?

Cheers

HIP FLASK.

yes glove warmers nice but can get annoying. better for skiers as your hands aren't doing so much. snowboarders not too many clothes as you get very warm very quickly from all the falling over and too much bulk makes it harder to get up.

lip salve good a sun block one and a little tube of sun block for your nose. it may seem cold but it is summy and reflects off the snow.

string on your gloves like a kid at school - through the back of your coat sounds daft but really handy you do need to take them on and off for stuff and this way you never loose them or leave them places as you will be really uncomfortable if you have to spend time skiing or boarding with out them.

Attach your lift pass to your jacket - again easily lost out of pocket or dropped and can't be replaced. you will have to pay £100 for a new one.

cold ears also make you really uncomfortable good hat needed.

oh yeah HIP FLASK (spare incase you loose one)

on the subject of spares if you smoke a spare lighter in another pocket. if you drop them in the snow they don't work.

Dont forget to take some radox so you can soak those sore leg muscles in a nice hot bath at the end of the day.

ps, moist toilet tissue - theirs is a bit like sand paper, but its getting better, years ago you could still find tree bark in the rolls

re: Tips from the experienced?

Vicki beat me to it with hip flask, absolutely essential.

Little stringy thing to attach to sunglasses also useful. Sunblock essential. Emery board for those really nasty nail accidents. Maybe some deep heat for muscular aches. Soft bog roll.

Finally, don't forget your sense of humour! (and medical insurance)!

You'll love it, have a good one.

ps where, when, with whom?

Thanks for the tips.

One question though....whats an Emery Board? and what accidents am i likely to have with me nails? Confused

Been to Bulgaria twice before so i am prepared for the bog roll....it's no where near as bad what we used to have to use in Junior School in the seventies.

Seems we are all pretty well prepared.
A sense of humour won't be a problem as 5 out of our group have never been skiing before...should be fun watching us all fall over.

There are 7 of us going to ...
