To Sarah & Rich

Hi Sarah

I’ve been snowboard'ering on a dry ski slope for 8 months now. It sound like a lot but here’s some maths…..

8 months x 4 weeks = 32 weeks
1 hour a week = 32 hours
Time spent in uncontrolled heap after falling for the umpteenth time = 4 hours
Time spent unclipping one foot, hopping to the draglift, dragging slowly whilst trying not to fall over watching the other guys on the slope, hopping to the top of the slope, clipping foot back into board, preparing to launch ...

Time spent unclipping one foot, hopping to the draglift, dragging slowly whilst trying not to fall over watching the other guys on the slope, hopping to the top of the slope, clipping foot back into board, preparing to launch whilst concentrating hard on my ‘cool dude’ warrior stance, Planning each and every turn to avoid the other skiers, boarders, and 8 year olds doing 90 mph. = 18 hours

What’s left. About 10 hours actually sliding down the slope with my feet strapped to an ironing board.

My eyes see others doing it.. My brain knows what I should be doing, but someone forgot to tell my feet. I can’t wait for my subconscious to take over…..

It’s great fun trying anyway.

Tim ?

Hello Tim
you sound like you will be far better than us !! If we are out for 6 hours a day (think not) for 6 day of our holiday, that = 36 hours. 2 hours a day for lunch break, 1/2 hour in the morning and afternoon for hot chocolate drink. That is a total of 18 hours not trying to ski. As you said 4 hours spent in a uncontollable heap after falling for the umptennth time. That will leave me about 14 hours. Laughing at everyone else for an 1hour a day. leaves me 8 hours to try and mastered ...
