Just a quick question -when you look at the webcam pic, is that the queue for one of the lifts that is showing or the ski school lining up on the nursery slopes??
If it is a queue, is that the one that all beginners will have to stand in or do they go off elsewhere?? I'm only asking as it looks like one loooooooong queue - I only have Austria and the Cairngorms to compare to but the queues were never quite that long.

I’m afraid that is the queue for the small button lift. I have just returned on Saturday and the main problem you will have is on the main lift to the top slopes. We were waiting 45 mins to get on the gondola. I was boarding and then when you get to the top they won’t let boarders on most of the drag lifts.Unfortunately I went with a party of 10 and we were all very disappointed with the resort.

You can take all the drag lifts with your board, but it s true that the ones on Markudjik (top) are really very difficult because you have the impression to climb on a russian mountain.Last week when I went there, all the snowboarders were climbing by walking, and when I reached the top, a woman in skis congratulated me for this performance !!!!
For snowboard I recommend you the runs Yastrebets, along the cabin lift.

I returned on Saturday - Yes this is the first of many queues in the resort if you are a beginner then you will spend alot of you're day queueing! The classes start from different points some on the Rila Hotel side and some go over to the Gondola side (queue at the gondola in the mornings can be anywhere between 1 hour and 90 minutes). Ski school starts from 10am and finishes around 4pm - the brochure says 4 hours of lessons but we found this not to be the case (unless you take off the time ...

There were 4 of us two adults who ski and didn't have lessons and two children 14 & 17 who were put into seperate classes, so we didn't see each other all week except for the evenings when the children didn't want to be with us anyway!
