Hi Pete,firstly sorry can't make the meet,can not really afford it,(ferrys etc from isle of wight etc)and other half thinks letting me go skiing twice a year is enough!!
With regards to MR M,i think he should stay as people should just make up there own minds,i missed out on bulgaria till 2004 because people told me it was c rap,but i decieded to give it a go when money was tight and couldn,t afford France,best holiday decision i ever made,and i think if people find this forum,there are a lot more happy people than people that didn't like Bulgaria.Anyway hope you all have a great time and hopefully see some of you next season,Rigs

PS,Boon got any idea of dates/month etc for next season, what about Nade,Jon & Becky ?

Sorry I can't make the meet or discussion but as to the subject of Mr M I would vote to keep him-he has some relevant things to say and it makes amusing reading if you all take it with a pinch of salt-there are many more positive comments on the forum than negative-just don't take it all personally (and he has made some very barbed comments re my spelling of BorOvets) I find myself wondering who he is and what he actually does for a living-he seems so perfect in his own eyes!! Have a great time at the meet guys.

Don't get it personally Pete but when I was in Pamporovo in Feb and then in March I had so many meetings and even managed to do about half of them.I went to taste the perfect condition with few of my old friends partners zoomed on all of the pistes and ended up in one of the ends where I had to call my driver to come and collect us and from there we all went straight to one of my places in the area in Shiroka Luka .that was it.next day it was straight back to Sofia airport.
More or less the same has happened the second time.
I went to Bulgaria during this winter purely to refresh my memories from the times of good snow (long time ago ) because I know that this conditions are exceptional and very unlikely to be repeated again in someone's life time.
I had posted my views about the conditions which were I repeat were Perfect.
Lovely deep snow trees all with white blanket deep snow in the forest.
I was suprised even you as a Pamporovo all person was a little negative with your views after your trip.
OK it was quite and empty and maybe in the bars was no one but this is it: snow is good but it was good in any corner or Europe at the same time so pwoplw had a lot of choice as places to go and even cheaper so that's why the situation with little Pamporovo.
Plus of course the difficult situation with lenghtly transfers not so high place etc etc.
People will go and visit Pamporovo at least once ot maybe twice before they get better and move on to better ski places.
There is always going to be a market for complete novices so Pamporovo is safe.(Well if there is enough snow)
So at the end. Don't get personal I go to ski resort ski non stop maybe stop somewhere for a drink and then go and do business usually and move to next and next.
The same with Borovets .
The only one place which I did not fancy to Go is to messy Bansko for reasons I mentionned before.
Bansko is a very unapeeling place for me honestly.
Have a good skiing indoors and I will have a look if I can make it I will come to have some skiing as well.
Just back from a very interesting meeting in Sofia on the FIS coaches. New techniques etc.

Mikey - it's a chance for you to meet those who moderate the board plus a lot of people who post on this site . We are all pretty decent people who just happen to enjoy Bulgaria for our own reasons. Very few of us including me have any financial interest there - we just enjoy skiing there and the Bulgarian people.

As I have said in the past, I find a lot of your comments worthwhile and to the point. However, in the past you have upset many people by your blunt and broad sweeping negative comments about both the posters on here and the country that we all love to visit. That's what wind so many people up on here and that is why we need to meet and talk things through in a friendly and adult manner.

I would like to think that if you can come next week (and I really hope you do) we can all get a better understanding of each other and maybe, just maybe we can find some common ground that will suit us all in the future.

Here's hoping you can make it. If you need picking up from the airport let me know and I'll see what I can arrange.

Why do you have to discus the forum structure when there are many more things to do on a meet with skiing and chat with ski lovers.
And especially after such a rare and good season.
If I can juggle my schedule some how and nothing comes up at short notice at the last minute, I will drive up to Tamw. From all of the slopes in UK I prefer Hemel Hemstead though cos the snow is quality then Milton Keynes and last it the Tamworth one but there is still kind of snow to slide for couple of hours so I will see what I can do.
Otherwise the forum is fine just few naggers with selling services and profiting from it and Hey we all love the snow at the end of the day or mixed with something else .
I read now and then the forum and I appreciate the feedbacks.It doesn't matter how biased or not they are . But what gets me sometimes is when some (including few of the moderators) are using it for commissions from adverts reffering people to services etc(very often their own ones).
And doesn't matter what they will say after I enter the topic I can categorically confirm that this is the case with some from Borovets Bansko and Pamporovo .

I know you will say no way but to be honest I am very much inside them 3resorts and this is the situation -fact.
Only in them cases I kind of feel responsability to engage and do a little correction added with a bit of banter. Believe me many time it was and it is the case with some pass and present forumers/moderators.
Funnily I had few of my friends going to BG skiing and saying the same that this forum looks after only the good feedbacks and things and is flooded with regulars which make numbers and posting as much as possible to bring the majority looking as everything is just fine.
Me and you know that's not the case and there are a lot of things which if they don't get on the right direction it is a dead end.
But still this is just a forum nothing else so enjoy the meet( I will try to come for skiing on the date) have a good skiing in BG or elsewhere and let's hope next season everybody is going skiing again .
