Transfer to Bansko from Sofia

Hi All

Can anyone suggest other means of transfer from Sofia (Train, CoachBus etc..) to Bansko, other than 140 euros, return for 2 people.

re: Transfer to Bansko from Sofia

Hey Dee, you can try to use the public transport system. A trip from Sofia to Sandanski last year cost me 7,50 lev and it is twice the distance as Bansko so I think you can reach it within paying around 5 lev per route from Sofia central busstation at the princess hotel. But not sure whitch daytime you travel, this will be important.

Hey Dee,

these new law is not working since yet. So the price will be 280 lev for 6 days.
I found out the buses from Bansko to Sofia starts at 7:00; 8:40; 13:15 and 15:30.
Think it will be the same number of buses to Bansko or much more may be you have to go first to Blagoevgrad and Raslog.
And from Raslog you can get a taxi, only 6 km away from Bansko.

Hi Dee

You can pick up a taxi from the airport (make sure you confirm the price before you get in cab shouldn't be more than 20 leva) and go to main bus station, where you can get a bus to bansko (quicker than the train) runs almost hourly and takes 3 to 3 1/2 hours only stops in bladograd, razlog then bansko, costs 8 leva per person each way
if you go to banskoski.co.uk and click on town map you can see where bus station is in relation to your apartment
