Due to fly to pamps on Saturday with Thomsons, I wondered if it was too late to transfer to a diferent resort (due to the lack of snow), has anyone else attempted to do this?? I imagine it is a bit late for thought it was worth looking into.....

(i) If you wish to make any changes to your booking after we have issued your Invoice, we will do or best to help. Where we can meet your request, the total holiday cost will be recalculated in accordance with any new arrangements, taking into account under-occupancy supplements, flight supplements, any applicable cancellation fees or other extra charges payable, and the prices of your new holiday arrangements that apply on the day that you ask for the change. We will charge you an amendment fee of €25 per person (up to €75 per person for custom-made bookings), and a new Invoice will be issued. (ii) If you want to add any new persons to the booking, or add car hire,pre-bookable ski packs or other brochure offers and we are able to confirm such changes, no amendment fee will be charged. However, such changes may not always be possible within 3 days of your departure. (iii) Flights on scheduled airlines are based on APEX type fares and have restrictions on changing names, initials etc, even before tickets are issued. If you request a name change due to incorrect details given by you, we reserve the right to pass on any airline charges. If a name change is requested on charter flights once tickets have been issued, a charge of up to €25 per ticket will be made. (iv) If you lose your tickets, you may well have to buy new tickets. scheduled airlines, ferry and train operators usually charge the full ticket price which may be reclaimed from them after a period of approximately three months. There will also be a charge for ticket re-issue of charter flight tickets and this will be up to €75 per ticket.
Hi Dave,
I wouldn't waste my time and money trying to do that.
Ok there isn't a lot of snow, but you'll still have a great holiday and skiing is doable. There is also a resort of Chepelare only 10km from Pamps and it's not bad at all.
Give me a shout and I can help you out a lot to have a good time.
Give me a shout either on e-mail or you can call me on UK mobile 07776175038
or Bulg.+359896335218

Speak to you soon,

Pretty sure my ski instructor Boran took me out to Chepelare the last time i was out 10years ago, might go again if snow etc is better. Can you tell me the conditions there and lift prices etc would be a great help. I am staying in pamps so presume it is a short taxi ride.....
Good to hear some honesty coming out of Bulgaria on you reply to Laura's thread. Your comments illustrate what those of us who have been going to Bulgaria for twenty years know. The problem is that every difficulty, bad decision and piece of mis-management is clouded in a mist of mis-information. It's always someone else's fault and no-one takes responsibility or is accountable.

Hi Pavel
Good to hear some honesty coming out of Bulgaria on you reply to Laura's thread. Your comments illustrate what those of us who have been going to Bulgaria for twenty years know. The problem is that every difficulty, bad decision and piece of mis-management is clouded in a mist of mis-information. It's always someone else's fault and no-one takes responsibility or is accountable.
Galina started a very useful thread on 'What needs to change in Pamporovo' and the comments were spot on. What Bulgarians always appreciated in the past was the value of the customer and that they had to have a great holiday or wouldn't come back. Now the perception is that they don't care. Just give us your money and p*** off! This is particularly true with younger workers in the resort.
The problem is that although many have contribute to Galina, few believe that anyone will listen or that real meaningful change will take place. It appears enivitable, therefore, that Pamporovo is in serious trouble!
Hi Boon,
The Cheps was good from half way down as it was all snowed in. I was there on Sunday.
Give me a call and I can give you some more info. Prices, how to get here etc. Gotta go for my dinner now
Cheers Pavel
