Transfers

Can any one out there tell me a realistic time from Sofia airport to Bankso? On package tour bus. Travelling 23rd. Will we be on slopes on xmas day? Does Bankso get very bad queues in the morning?

re: Transfers

transfer time about 3.5 hours

yes you will ski on xmas day as long as you have snow on the slopes.

yes the ques can be bad in the morning at the gondla station advice get up early have breakfast then go straight to the gondla and once you are at the top of the gondla station get a drink or go straight to the top and be as sad as Iam and be one of the first to ski the newly groomed piest best feeling in the world and you miss all the ques.

you should do it in less than 3 hours now with the new road almost complete.

re: Transfers

3 hours if travelling during the night and lucky with dry roads all the way. weekends add 2 hours.I would say 4 hours min. could be even more if nasty queues in the last 20 miles or accidents whic is the case every weekend.

re: Transfers

Ah, when you say early to the Gondola to beat the queues, just HOW early do you mean? When do the crowds start to gather?

re: Transfers

I usually go up by 8.30 as iam sad and everyone hates me because I run round shouting at 7ish thats its time to get up, 1st day was very busy at about 9.30 and from meeting people on the gondlas seems to be busy around 9.30 with everyone going up to ski school.
