Transport to Gondola in Bansko

Can anybody please help me. We want to rent an apartment in Bansko but don't want to walk to the gondola in ski boots. Also we don't want to rent a car just to drive there each day. All the hotels seem to offer transport but not the separate appartments. Does anyone know how else we can solve this problem? Please help!!! Confused

How are you gonna get from the airport to the apartment?

re: Transport to Gondola in Bansko

If you rent an apartment through banskoapartments.com they will collect and return you to the airport. If you have rented an apartment independently there is supposed to be a bus from Sofia to Bansko every hour and its cheap. Also there is a train station in Bansko which I believe links to Sofia. A taxi is another option which would work out reasonable for say 3/4 of you.

re: Transport to Gondola in Bansko

you can also ask your hosts for transport. They will find you a local taxi/minibus. This is a whole trade in Bansko

re: Transport to Gondola in Bansko

hi
bus from sofia to bansko is 8-10 (just under 4 GBP) leva each way takes about 31/2 hrs (same as a transfer which costs about 140 euro for a car for four return) but make sure you agree a taxi fare from airport to bus station should be about 0.80-1 leva a kilometer) several independant bus companies go to bansko, buses run 1-2 hrly
good luck

re: Transport to Gondola in Bansko

Thanks George - this is a good idea. I am sure something will work out. I was thinking if nothing seemed to be working out we may be able to pay one of the hotels to pick us up and drop us off in the evening on their way.

re: Transport to Gondola in Bansko

Thanks for replying Joy. I should have made myself more clear. I was referring to the transport from the apartment to the gondola each day.
