Travel to Greece

I've heard that there is a new Motorway being built connecting Smolyan to Kavala in Greece - anyone got any info. Presumably if true it will only take an hour or so to get to the Greek coast from Pamps.

Hi Jon
The construction can be seen on the way to Bansko from Sofia, the local agents informed me that the planned dual carriageway will link Sofia to the Greek border
passing right by Bansko bringing the transfer time down to one and half hours.
This supposedly is to assist in their bid in the 2014 winter olympics, either way it is being built. There are also plans for a new airport in the region...
