re: Traveling with Balkan

Hi Alan

Some airlines will let you take them on as hand luggage others wont and even heard reports that they are classified as a damgerous weapon Confused. I always pack mine in the hold, pack clothes ect around them. If near limit put lighter stuff in hand luggage. Hope this helps.

re: Traveling with Balkan

Flown Thomson and BMI in last 2 years, both advised boots could not be taken as hand luggage - so given that, I'd rather pack them in my hard sided case than risk taking them in my boot bag and having to check them in.

Only downside is travelling light with everything else!!

HI All

thanks for all the input we have decided to pack our boots in main luggage think that is going to be the best bet.
