Travellers Cheques?

Hi, can anyone advise on whether taking TC's is a good or bad idea? Going to Boro on the 28th & with the rate being so bad thinking gonna need a few quid. Is it best to take pound notes?

Bad not widely accepted if at all. Take pounds and exchange in resort or change here before you go.
