Trying to give some hope

Not brilliant in Pams is it! Short term still some rain/snow about but still nothing to shout about-it has been drier as expected. Looking ahead there are now (at last) some signs it will turn colder again, but more importantly, more unsettled-with the prospect of better snowfall about--the downside is it will turn colder again later this week, but the hoped for snowy weather is a good week away so things could change. The only real posistive is the weather is looking to turn more mobile (a ...

The only real posistive is the weather is looking to turn more mobile (a bit like it has now done here in the UK) which should allow 'weather' to sweep across europe next week. Keep those chins up

At least things are changing so there is a chance of snow, we went in 07 and were worried right till we got to the resort sign, and then saw some snow, it's the same every year with Pamps lately Neutral

re: Trying to give some hope

Am a bit concerned - this is our first time to Pamps and am keeping fingers crossed for snow. Have skied a few times before and last year in Finland which was superb powder but absolutely freezing cold around -16 degrees on slopes most days. Keep explaining to daughter that conditions might not be as good but have to make the most of it. Only up side is we're going with a great group of friends so evenings should be interesting!!!

re: Trying to give some hope

Morning--well it has cooled a bit as expected, and it still looks to turn more unsettled--but like any long range 'forecast' timing is hard to pin down. It looks like staying mainly dry until second half next week, and it will warm up as we approach tues/thursday--like it does here when rain approaches. It will likely rain at lower levels before eventually turning colder with rain turning to snow. Sorry about the news but it is how it is--will try to kee updates going next week--and believe ...

Sorry about the news but it is how it is--will try to kee updates going next week--and believe me as soon as anything looks good I will shout (as I am sure will Mark IOW)--and as always thing can and will likely change as we get into next week. meanwhile enjoy the snow that is there--it is a holiday after all and there is nothing gained by being down-nature is nature!
