Hi folks
Sorry but don't have any good news ref snow or conditions. Still no new snow and the lower runs in the resort are suffering to the extent that the mid-station down to Markony's green run is unskiable. Top to mid station is still OK but icy patches and hard snow is not overly fun to ski on unless you are experienced. The ski schools are still running to full capacity and the beginners are being taken up to the top of the mountain. Unfortunately this makes it extremely busy on all runs as everyone is up top! Chepelare ski runs are also unskiable due to lack of snow. However, the craic remains good and if you can't ski you just have to find another enjoyable activity!!!! . Anything beats being at work.
Will keep you posted but not looking good for anyone coming out this weekend unless it snows. Bit of advice to anyone that hasn't pre-booked their lift passes. Don't. You can buy daily lift passes for 32 lev (about 11 quid) or a half day pass for about 22 lev (7 quid) from the cabin at the bottom of the three-man chair lift. Get your instructor or someone Bulgarian to get them for you. If you've been to the resort more than twice then they will give you a discount for being a regular. Cost of the lift passes without this discount is 49 lev for the day or 38 for a half day. This means you can choose when you ski if there's new snow or not to if the conditions don't improve.
Having been coming to Pamporovo skiing for 10 years, I think I am well qualified to give an honest and realistic report. I know I'm always grateful to hear reports from someone on the ground when I'm due to come to Pamporovo and as I'm two weeks into a month's holiday here you can expect further news. No further reply from you is necessary. Chickagea!!

Do you need to take proof of previous visits - not sure how we would do this! We paid 49 lev per day in Jan (wasnt worth buying a 6 day pass as it only saved about £6 and we didnt ski for 2 days) but going back for our 3rd trip in March so would be good to get the discount
You should be on the computer system - if so, then you can get the discount (this also applies for Bansko). You may have to hassle them for it.
To save the inevitable argument, just keep your lift pass from the previous year - often they mis-spell your name so if you give them the old card they can find you easy enough.
