This is how we communicate between each other on the slopes and back home if needed.
Make sure your phone is unlocked (ie not locked to a specific network) you can do this by putting in someone elses sim card that is on another network. If it is locked to your network There is a stall on most markets that will unlock it for about £10 takes about 10 mins. Don't text or phone or accept phone calls on your uk sim abroad or you will incur a charge especially if you are on contract, (you ...

Don't text or phone or accept phone calls on your uk sim abroad or you will incur a charge especially if you are on contract, (you can receive texts free and they not expensive to the sender either ~ 10 - 30 pence each) Go to the Samokov (100m away from rila although they might have them in the rila shop) They have a mobile phone shop but we bought our sim card from the sweet shop, Cost us 20 lev and 15 of that was credit and it lasted us both all week.

The 24 hour supermarket in pamps beside the white hart does a lovers sim pack. 20 lev for 2 sims with 10 lev on each, you get a text daily telling you how much credit you have left. They have them under the counter where the till isWHERE IN BANSKO (SIM CARD)
Does any Bansko-ites know where to get a sim card????????? re: Using Mobile Phones
We're going to Bansko tomorrow and have locked Vodaphone phones, I take it from the good advise above do not use them at all? I hear it is £1 just to RECEIEVE a text on a locked down sim? Hopefully someone can let me know about this tonight??????? THANKS
