Hi have been to Bulgaria the last two years running, Boro twice and Bansko once, really enjoyed both places and will be going back. However i am thinking of booking with some friends for france, Val Thorens in the 3 valleys just wondered if anyone has been/ has any info or opinions on the place????
We were in les Menuires in april which is just below VT and visited it a couple of times during the week, the snow was excellent up there also you are spoilt for choice for runs and lifts when we stopped for lunch it was a bit pricey but not too bad, excellent resort though
Have been a couple of times and the resort is simply amazing. It is the highest ski resort in europe and being purpose built offers excellent ski-in ski-out option from most accommodations. The resort itself isn't the prettiest, but the vistas in all directions make up for that. Being high it has amazing snow records, staying open until may each year. The ski area is in a massive treeless bowl, with long wide runs and endless off piste options. There is also a glacier and great views of Mont ...

The val thorens valley should keep you more than busy for a week but you have the option to pay 50 euro more and your ski pass will allow you access to the 3 valleys which include the valleys of meribel and courcheval. The 3 valleys is one of the biggest ski areas in the world, 600km of pistes. It is also easily accessible, two quick chair lifts from val thorens and you're on the ridge that allows you to ski into the meribel valley. I would recommend paying that bit extra for the 3valleys ski pass as it is great having the option to ski into the other valley and resorts.
It is expensive to eat out. Some places are cheaper than others but you're talking £10 for a main course. on the mountain some places are really expensive, others aren't. I'd recommend self-catering or half board accommodation as supermarkets aren't expensive. You can make yourself a nice packed lunch and ski over to courcheval and eat it there, Your options are endless. I'd reccommend you go on this holiday as it is truly an amazing experience, possibly the best skiing in the world
