Also I think helmets should be a must for skiers. 1st year we have worn them and was glad I did. Had a fall which was on an easy blue noone around going fastish, tips must have crossed and I landed on my head!!! took a few mins to recover but had I not had a helmet on could have been a lot worse.
I would say mostly yes! - I've always seen helmets for hire in every ski resort I've been to. Its compulsory for kids to wear them in ski schools in many places. I know Interski hire them out in Pamps and I'm sure other places too.
That being said, I would always prefer to use our own helmets - you don't know what knocks the hire helmets have already taken - a bit like using a second hand baby seat in a car. If you do hire them, they should be free from stickers and check them carefully ...

Yes it is adamant you wear a helmet, look what happened to Natasha Richardson, a friend of mine came up with the idea of buying a plain black/white helmet and decorate it. Don't use stickers though, it does something to the security, I don't know, but I'd make sure you do,
Have great holidays,

Balkantours have arranged helmet hire with main ski school in Pamporovo for kids. Don't know about adults. Our group have all bought good Tresspass helmets for £20 each,at a local shop, a small price to pay. Check skiwear for less on line.
