Hi folks,
Well to say this forecast has been easy in an understatement; things are really complicated in weather terms.
I will post a forecast now but will need to verify and update it, as necessary, Friday evening.
Temperatures will rise during Friday to give temps around plus 2 or 3C at base levels. Friday night the temps will drop sharply and remain cold during Saturday before warming up again on Sunday.
As for snow, it will start on Friday night and continue through to Saturday morning. Showers throughout the day until a more prolonged spell sets in Sunday evening through to Monday afternoon. A short break again and then snow throughout Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday into Thursday. The only worry is that temperatures during the first part of the week could be high enough to produce rain at lower levels but this is uncertain at the moment.
As for the outlook, it is very uncertain and I will update as soon as I get settled results. The problem being, the jet stream is very ‘mobile’ at the moment and this is causing havoc with the number crunchers.
Like I said I will update as soon as I get some concrete evidence of some good weather !!
