Buy levs for as close to 2.8 as you can - in Borovets the First Investment bank at the Rila Hotel sells for 2.7 comission free - about the best I found on the resort. Marks and Spencers, from other peoples comments looks like a good place to check out for changing currency here.

Use the cash points in resort.
Even with the £1.50 bank charge we got a really good rate, much better than the airport.

I got 2.66 commision free here at Thompson today, same rate in Thomas Cook so the exchange rate must have gone up.

Lloyds bank exchange rate is 2.705 (and commission free if you bank with them.)

yep, Marks & Spencer over here and ATM machines over there. We only changed £100 (280 lev) between 2 from M&S before we went and used the ATM's when we got there.
