Does anyone know what the weather is like in town in Bansko in March? (11-1
We are going out then and were thinking of driving but are wondering what the roads will be like? Also is it still very cold (ie -12 ?)Thanks Nigel

We went last March and the weather varied from just below freezing to a warm 19o during the day. The temperature can vary significantly from day to day though the nights are always cold. We hired a car and spent a fortnight in Bansko and the area around and did not have any problems. The roads can be in poor condition though at the end of the winter but just follow the traffic when they weave you follow pot holes being the major problem. However the main roads are usually not too bad. ...

However the main roads are usually not too bad. Ask for snow chains just in case but we did not need them as it did not snow. There was plenty of snow on the mountain but none in the resort.
