Hi folks,
Some interesting times have been had so far into the season and the forecast has not been too bad !
Over the next day or so, temperatures are going to warm up a little (but remain below zero) and then back to very cold by Wednesday/Thursday before warming up again for next weekend. A fair bit of snow to come during tomorrow (Tues) but that’s about it for the rest of the week.
High pressure will build from Wednesday and the wind will drop with sunny skies in the daytimes. It will remain below zero at all times during the week which is good for the snow cannons.
As we approach the weekend, which is Borovets opening weekend, the weather is changing and the beginning of very unsettled weather but Saturday is looking warmer, of late, and cloudy skies. Early indications suggest that by Monday 17th temperatures could be warm enough to produce rain at lower levels but this is a little way off to be accurate. I shall post an updated forecast mid-week in case anyone is heading out for the opening weekend.
As for the long range outlook, it is looking quite good in the respect of what should be happening and I have already been asked if it will be a white Christmas in Bulgaria….well…..I will state now, in my opinion it will be a white Christmas !!! let’s wait and see !
Cheers for the update Mark, you still over the hill in Sandown?,and will you be making it out to Boro this season, thanks again for your forecasts.Rigs.
