Hi folks,
I am sorry that forecasts have been few and far between but to be honest not a lot has been happening, the weather has been much the same of little snow and higher than normal temperatures.
The reason for this has been the stubborn jet stream. There has been a huge ‘blocking high’ situated over northern Europe that has been giving the UK a cold stretch and southern Europe a warmer stretch. This is all changing and the high is moving towards northern Russia and becoming ...
Hi folks,

As for this weekend, well the invasion team have hit it right ! Temperatures are going to plummet and getting down to around -7 or -9c at 1500m ASL with Sunday offering the best temperatures of -6 to -8c. A low pressure is moving in and snow will start to fall later tonight (Friday) through until Sunday. The only problem to this is it is going to be windy. I will not say that there is going to be a huge dump…but there is a dump this weekend..(maybe 30 to 40cm but I’m not saying!)
Temperatures will start to warm up during Sunday where they will be around 0c by Tuesday as a high pressure moves in. A blip on Wednesday before yet another temperature rise during Thursday. Thursday daytime is looking horrible as it could be as high as +8 to +10c at 1500m ASL, this is not good but early indications suggest the temperature will fall again towards next weekend. There will be plenty of sun during the week and winds should be low.
Unsettled weather is predicted from Friday next week (1st) and more snow could be on its way but I will have to let you know on that one. A few have been asking about weather around the 2nd Feb. Early indications are showing lower temperatures and some snow.
As I mentioned earlier about the jet stream, it is really difficult to predict what it is doing and even the Met Office say the same and because of this, the forecast could easily change so watch this space! Please remember, this forecast is based around Borovets.
We are out on the 30th, so I am going to start my snow dance now !
Argh. Mark - don't do this to us all. Hahaha. If next week is cold, and has snow, plus a dumping this weekend then 'go for your life'! Lol.
The ones I look at with my uneducated weather forecasting mind show ever changing forecasts. Heres hoping its the snowy and cold one that comes good. For both of us!!!
Here's hoping you know something we can't see Mark! Whatever is changing looks like temps on the increase again with little or next to no snow until 8-10 Feb.
