Again, thanks for your requests and sorry I have not been around over the last week to comment.
The season for Bulgaria has not been the best because of several factors. A very large 'blocking high' over northen Europe has affected a lot of weather patterns including ours in the UK and Bulgaria. The second problem has been the jetsream that has not done what it should have done way, way up in the atmosphere and this in turn allowed the block high to remain.

Things are changing but not for the better. The blocking high is going to slip southwards and fragment and in doing so will increase the air pressure in Bulgaria. The Jetstream is also shifting and going north (roughly) allowing warmer air to come up from the south for a fair bit and warm the air.
So what does this mean for Bulgaria as a whole? To start, the next couple of day’s temperatures will lower a bit before a steady increase over the coming week. Borovets has had temperature inversions over the last 4 or 5 days and this will continue for a few more. This means that resort level is struggling to get above freezing whilst top station is basking in sun and + temps. This is due to cloud levels caused by air pressure.
There is no significant snow to come this coming week and to be honest there is no strong indications of any the week after, but as we all know that could change. When looking at longer range forecasts then it is calculated on probabilities rather than certainties and we are looking at below 50%. It is not all 100% gloom as the end of next week could give some snow but also some rain at lower levels. Beyond next week I am not in a position to comment accurately but early indications are suggesting temperatures in the region of +8 to 10c but as I have said I cannot be certain, but on balance of probabilities then this likely.
In short, warming up all week and into next weekend. Some snow/rain to come towards the end of the week but nothing significant….sorry folks
I will keep an eye on things and I will update if necessary.

You can never tell with the weather. I visited Borovets last year as a beginner on March 16th and it was very warm with the snow at base getting very slushy by the afternoon around 15 degrees. I was convinced booking this year for the 8th Feb the weather would be cold and there would be plenty of snow about - how wrong could I be
Do you think we will have enough snow by the end of the month?
I don't want to book a 1500$ travel for nothing.
Here in Lebanon it's the first time in history of Lebanese ski (1930) that the season hasn't started yet and it doesn't seem it will at all this winter.
As said we suffered from a blocked weather since October,we have much less rain mm than usual and water will be in shortage in next summer,I hope next winters will not take this bad weather system habit or we will be doomed
