Looking at the latest weather forecasts, I may have to have a rethink on my packing, it seems as tho' shorts and t shirts maybe order of the day. 13 degrees in Bansko !!!!!! wtf

Yes I know, very strange weather and VERY worrying. The only consolation is that it is happening all over the alps and not just Bulgaria. Although, some French resorts are looking pretty good and even have some powder.
I'm off to Bansko on the 27th Jan and the short to medium term forecast is saying that there is no new snow, freezing level rising above 3000m and temperatures in double figures. Even the night time temperatures are going to be abobe freezing which is not good for making snow ...

BUT,
There are still 3 weeks to go and a lot can happen in that time. My sources (weather fanatics!) tell me that the current weather charts are pointing towards a fairly good shift from about the 16th Jan that may bring much better snow conditions. Fingers crossed!!

Yeah - stay upbeat and optimistic - it can change suddenly - just look at last week - don't think anyone predicted that dump so maybe one result of climate change is COMPLETE UNPREDICTABILITY!!!KB
