Weekend Breaks

Has anybody been or going away on any weekend breaks We had a lovely trip to Antwerp over Easter weekend with some friends. Weather wasnt very good but a fabulous town. Beer and Chocolate even better. I can thoroughly recommend it for a city break.

Hi - we went to Petersfield last weekend to see our friends. Great little market town with lots going on during the day and night. Had a fab curry and ended up in a lovely little wine bar in the village square. Making the most of visiting all the English countryside villages and towns before we disappear back to Croatia in 4 weeks time. Roll on the summer I say. Can recommend Dubrovnik for a weekend - its fab.

We have spent many weekends in Belguim, in Bruges and Brussels as well as the coastal towns. We havent been to Ghent yet. Is there any other places you can recommend?

Hi Cathy,

you mist the triangel then... Normally (Ostend)-Bruges-Ghent-Antwerp-(Brussels) are the main places to visit.
There also many things to discover in the French part, Wallonie.. and further on in Luxemburg. It al depends on what you want.
Blankenberge is the coastal town for me, coz its only 45 min. drive...

Where abouts in Belguim do you live?
