What's happened to Plovdiv?

Any one any news if operators are gong to start using Plovdiv again, always got flights to here for Pamps with main travel companies, but none for 2011. I understand the upgrade is finished so expected them to return from next year.

The airport is being used by a Danish airline and from Russia

I always looked forward to flying into Plovdiv rather than Sofia as every flight to/from Bristol was on time, rather than three hours delay

Now that the road to Greece is finished, are there options of flying to Karvala? I gather it would be a 2 hour transfer from there. I just can't find anyone who flies there but it might be an alternative to Sofia.

Kavala services domestic flight mainly and a few (1-2 per week) to Germany during the summer.Actually from Kavala Banko is 2 hour drive and Pamps about the same.

i flew in2 it from dublin a few weeks back and again on the 20th Feb

Hi,

Flew into Plovdiv on Jan 31st I didn't recognise the place gone is the barn. We read an article in an a magazine on the way home that the authorites will reduce the landing fees by for Plovdiv 41% from April. Hopefully this will encourage a few more airlines.

Fingers crossed I have a wee place out there & it would be sooo go to go out there more often for holIdays.

THe duty free in Plovdiv is still crap!!!

But the rest of the upgrade is fantastic!!!!

The even have a cash machine!!!!
