Thought i'd drop you a quick line to give you my thoughts on our week in Pamps.....
The last time I went to Bulgaria was 13 yrs ago when Bansko was a one hotel village....
Last week my huband, 5yr old son and I went to Pamps for the first time.....WE HAD A BLAST!!!
As follows:
Company - Crystal, fab rep (Julia) who resolved all our issues without the usual 'company policy' backchat. Trips were poor, i'd suggest doing your own thing.

Ski Pack - £90 pp You should pre-book all your equipment, instruction and lift passes through your agent....it's heaps cheaper.
Instruction - Pamps Ski School. 'Kotse and Plammen' The ski lessons really made the week special. I and my hubby had fab groups with some memorable personalities. The instruction was first class but i do think we were particularily fortunate with our groups and instructors.
Hotel - Perelik, 3 star, loads of good facilities, restaurant was o.k, staff were polite, rooms and general areas very clean, great location, fab pool, bar prices were average for a hotel....would book again.
Kindergarten - we read some absolute horrors about the kindergarten, you must bear in mind it is not a ski school but somewhere for your little ones to have a laugh whilst you are giving it large on 'the wall'. My 5 yr old was gutted every time I went to collect him. The staff really look after the kids and really spend time entertaining them with loads of activities. £65 for 6 days including lunch - bargain plus peace of mind.
Nightlife - loads, if thats what you want!
Snow - no comment - apart from the fact the resort did remain open and we ski'd everyday. Not bad going when you consider there are 25 resorts across Europe that have shut. Yes it was icy but I decided if I did not like the conditions I would head back to the Hotel for the day!
Conclusion.
We went to Bulgaria with no high expectations...this was partly due to the price of the trip plus one previous poor experience.
I can honestly say it was one of the most fun and memorable trips I have done for a while. The conditions were harsh but as my instuctor said ' if you can ski in this you can ski in anything'
Lets face it, we could have paid 4, 5 or 6 times that amount and still had poor snow. As it was, we made up for it with the new mates we made whilst negotiating grass patches and slush puddles, drinking chockie and brandy and trying our best 'Bulgarian' on the locals.
Pamps is a beautiful place...everytime I caught the chair lift the views left me speechless .....I AM A LUCKY GAL!

p.s We are going back for more next year!
