What about the baby?

My wife and I and our 9 month old will be arriving in Bulgaria on March 25 for a month of vacation. Her family is in Sophia, so we will definitely be there and we have baby sitters in Sophia. Is there a chance for day care for our baby near Bansko or Boro? Is it high quality?

Rila Hotel (big hotel at bottom of main slope) in Borovets has a kindergarten that you can pay daily for. There's a young English grandmother called Elaine working there. Spoke to 'lougbop' on here, who used it for their young daughter and she was happy there. From experience it depends on the child.

Having said that the season ends at the end of the month and correct me if i'm wrong but the lifts only open on weekends..

It depends on the snow - if its good they usually keep them open. If its good and they don't, we'll be having words.

Knowing Borosport it could be fantastic and they'll still close the bloody gondola....

The lifts will stay open everyday until after the Bulgarian Easter, which is towards the end of April. They still have tourists from other countries in April.

Snowing on top at the moment but most lifts shut due to very high winds.
