What currency

Hi all,
could someone tell me what currency should I take with me to Borovets? Is it better to take Dollars, Euros or Bulgarian Levs. I hear credit cards are not widely accepted there.

well sterling is good to take, you get a good exchange rate, but if you want to take enough levs with you to tide you over for the first day or two then take enough of them, but you're best to change money over there

they only take levs in the bars and resturants as far as i know so if you dont take levs you will need to exchange your money over there.
i took £100 worth of levs with me got an exchange rate of 2.54 lev to the pound using travelex here in london then i took £250 in sterling and changed what i needed at the bank which is located in the gondola station and got 2.7 lev to the pound.
Tip , dont be tempted by the exchange booths in town apprantly they are expert con men.
