Bought a new pair of Technica Rival X8's in November - been for 2 lessons on dry, they still don't feel right - major cramp problems. Went into Snow and Rock (not where I bought the boots originally), got new footbeds made - not sure if they feel right, tried on a pair of Salomon Ellipse 8 boots, they fitted like a glove - and they were 1.5 sizes smaller. A 25 not a 26.5 like I've got.
Do I risk taking the Technicas out to Pamps, them not being comfortable and having to buy a new pair ...

Do I risk taking the Technicas out to Pamps, them not being comfortable and having to buy a new pair of Salomons out there, thereby going over the weight allowance coming back as the original pair will go back under a comfort guarantee, or shall I take them back now and get refitted before I go? Oh, and the shop I got the Technica's from only do the Ellipse 7 not the Ellipse 8... just to make things awkward.
The other thing that throws a spanner in the works is trying to get it all done before going off to Pamps in two weeks time..
What you should have done, was keep your 'date' with Ally and Elaine, discussed fully over several small shandies, got take away and forgotten what you were even talking about.
On a serious note though J, you really need to change them now, you could waste valuable ski time in Pamp messing with new boots.
