and my new item for the list is a mini Bourjois lip gloss that you attache to your cell phone - the must have essential item on the slopes - do you want one Pete....

1 x pair of Saloppettes

1 x ski coat

3 x pair of ski socks – plus cotton socks for underneath to stop them sweating

Hats – (must cover ears)

1 x pair ski gloves (if possible get the ones with a fleecy inner glove)

1 x thermal long johns

1 x thermal top

1 x Ski goggles (you can manage with sun glasses at a push, but if its snowing its hard to see without goggles)

1 x fleece to go under the coat – so not too thick
(On a cold day you would wear the Thermal, then ...

(On a cold day you would wear the Thermal, then another long or short-sleeved T-shirt, then a fleece then the coat – you probably won’t need as many layers but some people do)

You “do not” need a bag to take to the slopes they just get in the way.

Sun cream for your face

Fleece Scarf or snood (snood is better)

this is the list, but its not written in stone, the thing about the bag, I know my friend who I did it for would take a great big ruck sack and cram all sorts of rubbish in it, and end up falling down all day long trying to keep it on her back....

I've taken heat rub before, needed it towards the end of the week when the leggs are starting to feel it.

can't be mithered with the heat rub stuff, by the time I need it I'm too stiff to reach!

Take yourself off & get a good, proper massage midweek. It's very worth it Smile

hip flask for brandy to keep you warm. In the fleese lined gloves try to get them were the fleece can be removed if the gloves get wet easier to dry.
