What to pack

First time ski-ing, not sure how cold it will be from this Saturday in Pamps. Can somebody advise on what I will really need to take for a week so as not to overpack or freeze.

re: What to pack

layers teeshirts and fleeces are best you can put on and take off as needed. I never wear thermals but some people advice them. jeans or combats for the evening and a good pair of walking shoes/boots.

re: What to pack

We went last January and are off again in a couple of weeks. We had never had a snow/winter holiday before. You know how people say when you go abroad that the heat is a different kind of heat - well that's the same with the cold. In England I am the world's coldest person, but I didn't feel cold at all in Borovets and it was -28 one day. I took thermals, tights, jogging bottoms etc. But really only lived in my salopettes and ski jacket with a thermal vest and light top underneath. ...

Like us you will probably take too much but remember that they do have shops everywhere which specialise in good quality skiing gear at bargain prices. So if you do feel cold have a hot chocolate and brandy and just buy more when you get there. Sorry for the essay!
